Leisure time on Madeira Island

The hotel Atrio is located 500 metres or just 10 minutes by foot away from the Levada Nova da Calheta. From there it is possible to start several walks that can take between 90 minutes to 5 hours or more. The hotel lends walking books, walking sticks and torches free of charge.

Every morning the hotel staff analyse the weather forecasts and the island webcams to advise the guests on the best walks or tours available.

Hotel Atrio offers massages: either partial body massage - full body massage - anti-cellulite massage and aromatherapy massage.
The hotel has a Klaffs sauna for up to 4 people. The sauna can be reserved for 15 euros/hour (water, tea, sauna towels, bathrobes included).

The Hotel Atrio can book whale watching tours, sunset tours from Calheta or tours to the Desertas Island from Funchal.

Mountain bike and road bike rentals can be organised. The Atrio was recommended by TOUR Magazine, which specialises in racing bike tours, in its 01/2016 issue.

A 10-minute drive from the Atrio is one of Madeira's best paragliding launch sites.

At the Atrio, Madeira excursions can be booked by minibus, boat (e.g. to the Desertas Islands), taxi, plane or even helicopter.
